Central Spain Wine Tour: Ribera del Duero, Rueda & Toro
October 12 – October 19, 2026
Join us for an immersive 7-day journey through the historic heart of Spanish winemaking. Traveling in a small, intimate group of no more than eight guests, we will explore the bold reds, crisp whites, and vibrant culinary traditions of central Spain, using the historic city of Valladolid as our base. First and last night will be spent in Madrid.
The Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Madrid (Oct 12)
Arrive in Spain’s vibrant capital at your convenience and settle into our designated hotel. In the evening, our group will gather for the first time to share a welcome glass of wine and local snacks, we will share stories, setting the stage for the week ahead.
Day 2: The Gateway to Castilla y León (Oct 13)
We travel by train from Madrid to Valladolid, a thousand year old city where we will spend the next five nights. We will dive into local culture with a traditional lunch and a tasting of local delicacies.
Days 3–6: Wine Region Exploration (Oct 14–17)
Over the next four days, we will explore three wonderful wine regions:
Ribera del Duero: Famous for its rich, complex Tempranillo wines grown along the Duero River.
Rueda: The birthplace of bright, aromatic, and crisp Verdejo white wines.
Toro: Known for its powerful, full-bodied, and old style red wines.
Experience Spain’s world renowned cuisine, historical sites, and landscapes from a local guide.
Day 7: Return to Madrid (Oct 18)
We head back to Madrid for our final night. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the city's world-class museums and historic neighborhoods before we gather for a final toast to an incredible week.
Day 8: Departures (Oct 19)
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before heading home or continuing your travels.
Tour Details & Inclusions
We keep our group size small to ensure access to independent properties and a relaxed, unhurried pace.
Intimate Group Size: Strictly limited to a maximum of 8 guests on board
Accommodations: 7 nights of hotel accommodations (the first and last night in Madrid, and 5 nights in Valladolid). Double occupancy, single-supplement available.
Meals Included: All daily breakfasts and all lunches are fully included.
Wine Experiences: All scheduled wine and tastings are included.
Ground Transportation: All local transportation during the tour itinerary is covered, including the train journey from Madrid to Valladolid. (Transportation to Madrid from your home base is not included).
Total Cost: $4,200 per person, double occupancy.
